The last day for an accountable and reporting institution to register with the Financial Intelligence Centre (the Centre) on the current IT registration system was Monday, 07 March 2016 at 17h00. The registration system will be unavailable from Tuesday, 08 March 2016 until Tuesday, 29 March 2016 due to a system upgrade.
Accountable and reporting institutions wishing to register with the FIC after Monday, 07 March 2016 must do so immediately by going to the Centre’s website (www.fic.gov.za) on Wednesday, 30 March 2016.
Please note that in the event that accountable and reporting institution have not registered on the Centre’s current registration system and need to submit a report between Tuesday, 08 March 2016 until Friday, 22 April 2016 such institutions must contact the Centre at 0860 222 200 to obtain temporary logon credentials to file the following reports:
• Cash Threshold Reports in terms of section 28 of the Financial Intelligence Centre Act 38 of 2001 (the FIC Act) as amended;
• Terrorist Property Reports in terms of section 28A of the FIC Act; and
• Suspicious and Unusual Transaction Reports in terms of section 29 of the FIC Act.
The go live for reporting on goAML is Monday, 25 April 2016.
